CONFIDENTIALITY I will maintain confidentiality and privacy of your somatic sessions and my notes unless it is legally required to divulge specific information.
SCOPE OF PRACTICE In my practice I utilize a variety of tools such as Brainspotting and Somatic Experiencing®. I studied Somatic Experiencing, Stress Symptom Resolution and Brainspotting with many trainers. Although my scope of practice does include the resolution of trauma/stress symptoms and nervous system regulation, I am a certified practitioner and not a licensed therapist.
My focus is to assist you to come home to your most authentic self. We will be working with your nervous system, beliefs, imagination, patterns of thought and action and your hopes. My goal is to assist you to discover what brings you alive and to help you release what has been hindering your innate freedom.
All somatic work, body awareness, somatic exercises, etc. is at a professional level.
We will work toward the goals that you create in your sessions. In addition to the work we do in my office, I may suggest things for you to do between sessions. It is not in my scope of practice to work with certain diagnosis such as Borderline Personality, Dissociative Identity Disorder, Schizophrenia, etc. If you have a mental health diagnosis, it is important to let me know so we know whether you would benefit from working with me.
If either you or I feel your work with me is complete, that you aren’t sufficiently benefiting from the work or that you need a therapeutic level of care from a psychotherapist, I have an ethical duty to communicate this with you.
INSURANCE I do not participate with insurance companies. I will provide an invoice if requested.
PAYMENT Payment is due at the end of each session by cash, check, Zelle, or Venmo.
